|  My own way
My goal is to propose some unique ceramics, exceptional if possible for the pleasure of everyday use. My main influences are Asian & art deco esthetic, and the dynamism of the Anglo-Saxon modern ceramics. So I try to find my own way through the tradition, with my imagination and my creativity, into the day to day work.
Our Handmade Production:
My husband and I we do assume together all of the various tasks in our studio, located in the countryside of Grasse. All of our production is created and handmade by throwing by ourselves. We do by modeling the decoration (ginkgo leaf, button, etc) which is fixed to the bowl.
The Porcelain:
The porcelain we use is called “Southern Ice” it is coming from Australia. This porcelain is truly white, and after throwing and glazing it is cooked (gas kiln or electric kiln) at 1300°C to be translucent.
The Glaze:
We have created all of our glazes by ourselves, starting with raw material as feldspar, whiting, flint, kaolin, etc… The colors are created by adding as very small percentage of iron, copper, cobalt, etc. We never have used any chemical stain. We do love to mix and to overlay the glazes to create special & unique effect.
Health:
According to the European regulation, we do not use lead, and any kind of dangerous raw material for the health. We have work a lot to guarantee a good resistance of our glazes to any kind of food acid like tea, vinegar, etc… Our ceramics like the washing machine & the micro waves (be careful with bumps) |
